A new solution to the handwashing problem

Cleanliness is a key factor in assuring food safety. Handwashing is one of the easiest, least expensive, and most impactful solutions to protect against illnesses and outbreaks. Additionally, many brands are “pulling back the curtain” and showing customers their food safety/clean hands processes to demonstrate to customers that their employees are taking every precaution to keep their food is safe.  In less than 2 seconds, the PathSpot hand scanner visually shows employees and customers that handwashing has been completed properly.

The PathSpot hand scanner uses a technology called “visible light fluorescence spectroscopy” to detect signs of viruses and bacteria that cause foodborne illness. It measures the reflection of light off of your hands to determine whether or not a set of proprietary markers are present.
